Year of presentation: 2021

Summary: This research is based on the data collected in the 2019 Labour Market Census Survey, more precisely that corresponding to supply. This survey has been carried out by the Specific Statistical Body of the Department of Employment and Social Policies (currently attached to the Department of Equality, Justice and Social Policies), which has provided the Basque Youth Observatory with some of the data it analyses with a special impact on young people.

It analyses general data such as the volume of young people working or unemployed, but also specific questions relating to employment such as the type of contract or working day, income, Social Security contributions, etc., or questions relating to job search among the unemployed, such as time spent looking for a job, job search methods, etc.

In any case, it should be noted that this survey predates the pandemic generated by Covid-19 and its consequences, in terms of company closures, job destruction and/or changes in working conditions.
