Throughout May, the Basque Youth Observatory organised three editions of the course
In May, the Basque Youth Observatory organised three editions of the course "Suicide Prevention: Gatekeeper Level 1 Programme". The main objective of this training has been to enable professionals to recognise alarm situations of suicidal behaviour in young people, and to acquire the skills to be able to respond appropriately and refer to specialised health services.
Alexander Muela and Jon García-Ormaza have directed the courses.
Seventy two attended and their professional profiles were as follows:
- 50 % have been youth workers.
- 46 % have been people linked to formal education.
- The remaining 4 % were people with other professional profiles.
