There is hardly any difference between the employment rate of young men and that of young women (46.8% and 46.2%, respectively, in the second quarter of 2024).

However, there are differences by historical territory; in the second quarter of 2024, the employment rate of young people in Gipuzkoa is the highest (49.4 %), while the lowest is for young people in Alava (44.4 %). The employment rate of young people in Bizkaia is slightly higher than that of Alava (45.1 %).

On the other hand, the youth unemployment rate continues its downward trend and in both the first quarter and the second quarter of 2024 is below 12%.
