The Basque Youth Observatory is organising the course 'Conflict Resolution and Negotiation in Socio-Educational Interventions with Young People'. The course will be prepared and delivered by SARA GONZÁLEZ MURO - Psychologist, psychotherapist, mediator and educator. Member of Geuz (Gatazka Eraldatzeko Unibertsitate Zentroa- University Centre for Conflict Transformation).

Other goals:
- Understand conflict and its dynamics from a constructive perspective.
- Prevent the escalation of everyday conflicts that the participants face within the framework of socio-educational interventions with young people.
- Acquire effective communication and problem-solving skills and tools.
- Practice strategies for managing anger and other intense emotions in conflictive situations.
- Understand and practise the interest-based negotiation process.
- Understand and practise a collaborative interview model to reach compromises...

Profile of participants: Priority will be given to people who work or cooperate with youths (in agencies, associations, public administrations, companies, educational centres, volunteers...). In addition, the order of registration will be taken into account.
- Men and women dedicated to youth-related work (youth information, town councils, provincial councils, and other entities).
- Social and family educators.
- Secondary education counsellors.
