Most young people in the Basque Country are in favour of same-sex marriage and gender reassignment
In 2020, the Basque Youth Observatory asked 1,500 young people between 15 and 29 years of age about same-sex marriage and gender reassignment.
The vast majority of young people surveyed were in favour of same-sex marriage (98%) and, also, in favour of gender reassignment (97%). These favourable views have increased steadily in recent years.
These data from 2020 are a preview of the "Basque Youth 2020” study, which belongs to the Basque Youth collection that the Basque Youth Observatory prepares every four years, based on a survey, to assess the opinions and attitudes of young people under the age of 30.
