Aurrera Begira 2022. Indicators of youth expectations
The research 'Aurrera Begira. Indicators of Youth Expectations, which the Basque Youth Observatory carries out annually, will be in its tenth edition in 2022.
Aurrera Begira was born in 2013 from the concern of the Youth Directorate and Lehendakaritza to give a voice to young people at a time of crisis. The aim was finding out how they assessed their situation, what their expectations are in the short and medium term. The study regards problems such as unemployment, emigration, emancipation and their confidence in the future.
The study is based on a survey that serves to construct 10 indicators that constitute a synthetic instrument for assessing, at the end of each year, the situation of young people with regard to their situation and expectations for the future.
The 2022 edition was based on an online survey carried out between 12 and 19 December 2022, to which 3,538 people aged between 15 and 29 responded (526 residents in Alava, 1,700 in Bizkaia, 1,063 in Gipuzkoa and 249 outside the Basque Country).
