Evaluation of the course “Digital technology and mental health: how to weave networks of digital and emotional wellbeing in society and, in particular, in young people”

The Basque Youth Observatory has organised another course of its 2025 training plan

In April, the Basque Youth Observatory held two editions of the course “Digital technology and mental health: how to weave networks of digital and emotional wellbeing in society and, in particular, in young people”. The general objective of the course was to provide educational agents with knowledge and practical tools, as well as the necessary and effective strategies to make society and, specifically, young people's relationship with the predominant digital technology healthier, while at the same time providing keys to improve their well-being and psycho-emotional health based on their environment.

The preparation and delivery of the course has been carried out by Maitane Ormazabal Esnaola, psychologist, psychotherapist and psycho-emotional counsellor in institutions, member of the external expert committee of the Ministry of Children and Youth.

42 people attended and the distribution by professional profile was as follows:

- 42,9 % were people working in formal education, such as guidance counsellors and teachers.

- 52,4 % were people working in the youth field (staff of youth information offices, city councils, county councils and youth associations, socio-educational intervention teams and other entities).

- The rest have been workers without ties to youth.

The average evaluations (on a scale of 0 to 10) of the people who have participated in the course are as follows:
