275 professionals participated in 2025 in the courses organised by the Basque Youth Observatory

During 2025, the Basque Youth Observatory organised 7 training courses:

  • Substance and behavioural addictions (two editions, one in Bilbao, the other in Donostia-San Sebastián).
  • Knowing, accepting and enjoying our bodies as a basis for good relationships (one edition in Bilbao).
  • Emotional self-care skills for people working with adolescents and young people: how to manage anxiety (one edition in Vitoria-Gasteiz).
  • Digital technology and mental health: how to weave a network of digital wellbeing and health in society and, in particular, in adolescents (two editions, one in Bilbao, the other in Donostia-San Sebastián).
  • Suicide Prevention: Gatekeeper Level 1 Programme (three editions, one in Bilbao, another one in San Sebastian and the last one in Vitoria-Gasteiz).
  • Experiential workshop and shared reflection: challenges of working on masculinity with adolescents. Strategies and pedagogical resources (two editions, one in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the other in Donostia-San Sebastián).
  • Workshop on bullying and cyberbullying: practical cases (two editions, one in Bilbao, the other in Vitoria-Gasteiz).

Of the 275 people who participated in the courses, 225 were women and 50 were men. Regarding professional backgrounds, 145 were professionals in formal education; another 94 were individuals working in the youth sector (staff from youth information offices, local councils, provincial governments, youth associations, socio-educational intervention teams, and other organisations); and the remaining 36 had other professional profiles.
