Evaluation of the course “Emotional self-care skills for people working with adolescents and young people: managing anxiety”

Throughout the months of March and April, the Basque Youth Observatory has organised another course of its 2025 training plan

Between March and April 2025, the Basque Youth Observatory held the course ‘Emotional self-care skills for people working with adolescents and young people: managing anxiety’. The general objective of the course was to promote the acquisition of skills and competences for emotional self-care and the management of anxious behaviour for people working with adolescents and young people.

The course was given by Ernesto Gutiérrez Crespo, psychologist and pedagogue, President of the Basque Psychopedagogy Association and collaborating lecturer at the University of Deusto and the University of the Basque Country.

23 people attended and the distribution by professional profile was as follows:

- 56,5 % were people working in formal education, such as guidance counsellors and teachers.

- The rest were people working in the youth field (staff of youth information offices, city councils, county councils and youth associations, socio-educational intervention teams and other entities).

The average evaluations (on a scale of 0 to 10) of the people who have participated in the course are as follows:
