The Observatory presents an updated portrait of adolescence in the Basque Country, how young people perceive their situation and what are their values
The Basque Observatory on Childhood, Adolescence and Youth presents a new report —available in Basque (PDF, 1 MB) and Spanish (PDF, 1 MB) — titled ‘Adolescents in the Basque Country. Perception of their Situation and Values’.
The aim of this report is to offer a rigorous and up-to-date approach to the situation and opinions of adolescents in the Basque Country. To this end, the new Basque Observatory on Childhood, Adolescence and Youth analyses the responses provided by adolescents aged 15 to 17 in surveys conducted over the last 25 years by the Basque Youth Observatory.
This work provides insight into how they perceive their personal situation, both in general and in relation to different aspects of their lives: family, health, studies, friendships, physical image and emotional relationships, among others.
It also reflects their position on various social issues that are currently part of the public debate, such as politics, religion, immigration, gender equality, climate change and social media.
