The Basque Youth Observatory has organised the first course of its 2025 training plan
In January and February, the Basque Youth Observatory held two editions of the course " Substance and behavioural addictions ". The general objective of the course has been to provide social agents with information and training on the risks associated with the consumption of substances and games of chance (especially sports betting and on-line games) and social networks.
The preparation and delivery of the course has been carried out by Estibaliz Ansotegi Guruziaga , She has a degree in Psychology and is the coordinator of the Ortzadar health and addiction prevention programme.
48 people attended and the distribution by professional profile was as follows:
- 50 % were people working in formal education, such as guidance counsellors and teachers.
- 25 % were people working in the youth field (staff of youth information offices, city councils, county councils and youth associations, socio-educational intervention teams and other entities).
- The rest have been workers without ties to youth.
