Portraits of youth

Annual reports prepared by the Sociological Survey Office of the Presidency of the Basque Government for the Basque Youth Observatory, using data on young people collected from studies that the said office has prepared throughout the year in question.

This new report in the series 'Youth Portraits' is the 26th in the collection and it gathers the opinions and attitudes of the youth of the Basque Country between 18 and 29 years of age regarding their personal situation, the situation of the town or neighborhood where they live, their assessment of the situation of the Basque Country and Spain, and their political values and attitudes. The Basque Youth Observatory has prepared this report based on data provided by the Sociological Prospecting Office of the Presidency of the Basque Government, specifically from the information collected by means of a survey for the elaboration of the Basque Sociometers that the Sociological Prospecting Office carried out during the past year 2023.

This new report in the series 'Portraits of Youth' is the 25th in the collection and it gathers the opinions and attitudes of the youth of the Basque Country aged 18 to 29 on politics and the situation both personally and in the Basque Country. The Basque Youth Observatory has prepared this report based on data provided by the Sociological Prospecting Office of the Presidency of the Basque Government, specifically from the information collected by means of a survey for the elaboration of the Basque Sociometers that the Sociological Prospecting Office carried out during the past year 2022.

The document is structured into four main thematic areas: assessment of the personal situation, assessment of the situation of the Basque Country, political values and attitudes, and social attitudes. In each of them there are different questions, the answers to which are presented by comparing the answers given by young people aged 18 to 29 and the population aged 30 and over, looking at the evolution of young people's answers and breaking down the results of young people according to sex, age groups and historical territory of residence.

This new report in the "Youth Portraits" series is the 23rd in the collection and it includes the opinions and attitudes that young people in the Basque Country between the ages of 18 and 29 expressed in 2019 about their personal situation at that time, the situation in the Basque Country, politics and university education.

The Basque Youth Observatory has published issue 22 of the "Youth Portraits" series, which collects the opinions and attitudes of young people aged 18 to 29 in the Basque Country regarding politics and the general situation in the Basque Country and in Spain.

The report has been prepared by the Basque Youth Observatory based on data provided by the Sociological Survey Office of the Presidency of the Basque Government; more specifically, on information the Sociological Survey Office gathered in 2018 to prepare its Basque Sociological Surveys.

The document is structured into two main parts: political attitudes and assessment of the situation.
